Ari Lord (they/them) is an award-winning writer of prose. They are the winner of the 2024 Richard Carver Award for Emerging Writers, and their fiction has been recognized by honours including the CBC Short Story Prize, Sundress Press Best of the Net Awards, and the Jacob Zilber Prize. Their work appears in The Malahat Review, The Ex-Puritan Literary Magazine, Plenitude Magazine, Foglifter Journal, Minola Review, and elsewhere.
Ari is currently pursuing an MA in English (Creative Writing) on Treaty 7 Territory at the University of Calgary, supervised by Dr. Joshua Whitehead. They work as a freelance writer and editor and serve on the board of Plenitude Literary Magazine.
